The staff were fantastic all through the holiday. special shout out to Ridma, who greeted us every night in the beer garden with a big smile. Plenty of really good restaurants nearby .hotel rooms were small but had everything you needed. Although we moved into a much larger Villa near the pool. Breakfast was standard Sri Lankan breakfast. Excellent value for money .

If you are not doing an Ayurveda treatment, like me, I recommend just booking breakfast, which is the usual breakfast in Sri Lanka. As the hotel is located right on the river and there are ponds, pools and fountains in the beautiful garden, be sure to bring mosquito spray or something similar, otherwise you will come back completely bitten. Definitely a place to relax and unwind. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to Bentota train station and Aluthgama. Tuk Tuk to Aluthgama center costs around 300 LKR. This is negotiable.
